Mash tun cooler conversion

I did bend the "false bottom" it was and still not seating tight on the bottom, the tube in the middle was a pain to install, the ball valve had to go after the "FB" .

below the weldless ball valve

Home made mash paddle

I made the paddle the simple way , I do not have a drill press,  so I had to keep it simple, the wood is pine, I will boil the paddle for 20 minutes or so to remove any tannin, I might even char the top layer after, the wood does not smell, so I am assuming it is not going to leash wood flavors in the mash.

dimension 36" long, 3/8" for the main stick, and 1/2 for the rake.

The tail is glued and tied with a copper wire.

The rake are also pine,

  I also rounded the tip.
